Harry Quebert (Patrick Dempsey) is a teacher and an icon of American literature. In 2008, he is accused of murdering Nola Kellergan (Kristin Froseth), a young girl who disappeared in August of 1975. Her body has just been found on his property. Nola was buried with the manuscript of his best-seller. At the same time, Harry receives a visit from a former student. Marcus Goldman (Ben Schnetzer) is a young writer in need of inspiration who comes to New Hampshire for fresh ideas. He agrees on using his mentor's tragic story for his next book. And he intends to discover what really happened 30 years earlier in the small town of Somerdale, maybe less quiet than it seems… This ten-part adaptation of Joël Dicker's eponymous novel (Winner of the Académie Française Prize) is Jean-Jacques Annaud's first television production. Broadcasted in 22 countries, this mini-series opened the official competition of the 1st edition of the Cannes Series Festival. Watch it on Sky !
